You can live one hundred years on this earth, and never actually live one day of it.
Jn 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
No one can make you stop worrying but you. The devil is not going to stop attacking you with fear as long as you keep receiving it.Jn 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. The worlds peace is based on the absense of war. Jesus peace is in the midst of war. Our peace is not based on our cirumstances, but based on his love and acceptance of us and our faith that he has a plan to prosper us and not harm us and work all things together for good. We experience this peace by doing what 2 Cor. 10:4-5 tells us to do. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Speculation is anything that is not fact. It is worrying. This verse tells us we destroy speculation by taking every thought captive obedient to Christ. This means getting our thoughts in agreement with the Word. I would get some index cards and write down scriptures on fear, worry, peace, health..whatever God promts you. Carry them with you, anytime a fearful thought comes to mind read the scripture out loud. When you memorize it you can just speak it out loud. This is what Jesus did when the devil tempted him in the desert. Jesus showed us how to win a battle against the devil. Use your medication until your mind is renewed and you can have victory on your own. I don’t expect you to have joy right now, because you just lost your mom. But you should be able to grieve this loss in waves of sadness and peace, with your mind fixed on Jesus.
